As its my 18th coming up next month, I've decided to get some summer gear for when spring comes round the corner Smile I'd love to get a 2 piece suit, however being stuck on the YBR until August even after I pass my test I would look a bit of a dick Thumbs Up So it looks like my options are a leather jacket or a mesh one, what do you guys reckon?
Cheers Very Happy

Hard choice, its all upto personal preference Very Happy At the height of summer, you'll be sweating your bollocks off in a leather jacket and mesh ones can be a god send even some vented leather jackets you can still feel hot, although the mesh dont offer as good a protection..

But leather would also probably be a better investment as it would be usable for more days in the year, as you can bet this being britain we'll get more cold then hot days Sad

But if you already have kit for the cooler days.. Its totally upto you, dont let the bike you ride deter you from wearing what you want Very Happy protection is protection and you wont be a wolly for weather the right gear when you need it.

I do have a mesh jacket, but usually wear a leather one, i find the combination of yearing 3/4 gloves with no gauntlet type affair gives me a flow of air right up the arm of the jacket to keep my pits nice and ventilated Laughing But its when you stop in traffic that you start to boil.. cant really be helped though Laughing

HTH in some way...

Tell you something from experience; under 50mph and mesh jackets are brilliant on a hot day. Over 50mph and even the hottest day feels positively arctic after a couple of miles.

In short, they're brilliant for bimbling around town but not for a good blast.

Most mesh jackets have a removeable linner to block the air flow on fast roads, take it out if your just bimbling about.

Well this summer I intend to use my jeans and a leather jacket with a hoody over the top if it gets a bit nippy. Thats about it.

I say summer...means 20 degrees and up Laughing

Stay away from textile...I wore a textile jacker and trousers over shorts and tshirt last May.

I sweat so much I ended up taking my jacket off and folding it and using it as a seat..was fucking baking Laughing Debated taking the trousers off also but riding a sports bike with shorts and tshirt is asking for it Thumbs Down
