This looks immaculate, but is it worth the 10k asking price!?
A little sceptical to be honest.

There's a shop in Reading doing that sort of thing.
They are charging easily at least twice what a classic/cult bike should really go for. Presume the idea is they just need to sell one to cover the costs for a month or two.
They always used to sell bikes in terrible condition for a bit inflated prices, so I'd be incredibly suspicious now (the one in Reading.)

They also have a 94 gsxr1100 on there for about 5 grand! Fair enough it looks very clean but isn't that just a bit above the guide price?!

Maybe they just invite offers but start with a ludicrously high price so they don't get too offended with the figures people come up with?

I think I know the place in Reading you're talking about just before the caversham bridge? A lot of interesting looking grey imports a lot of the time with 'interesting' prices!

It's not as mad as it sounds. Bikers are ageing, there's money around but it's not being spent on new sportsbikes. Flogging born-again-bikers their teenage dream machines is smart business.

It doesn't matter if 99% of people won't touch it at that price, they only need one bloke with a city bonus or pension lump sum to rock up.

I know, they must rely on guys for whom the price doesn't even come into it!
The machines they offer are very desireable classic bikes and I guess with bottomless pockets you would go straight to that shop without a moment's notice. I suppose if they can reach that sort of punter they do okay, their valuations are truly amazing though!

His bikes aren't all out of the crate unused examples though.
I can imagine 8k for an unused unregistered 97 tl1000 isn't too out of kilter with a new unused [equivalent] current model.
I'd say 10k for an xs1100 seems to be stretching it a bit however! Maybe a few grand but 10 of them!? That's just a nutty valuation.
