I can now officially wheelie, well kinda Very Happy
I've realised I've actually just been a pussy when cracking on the powah, and that the Blade will lift quite easily in 1st and 2nd if I just roll on more, as opposed to the half throttle I've been giving her before. (Need a bigger road too)
One big problem I'm hoping some can help with.
When landing it I keep whacking my nuts on the tank! Tried gripping with my knees but still sliding forward at light-speed to testicle-hell.
Help!

lol, I done that the other day on the gs500, bought a tear to the eye Laughing

Think you're letting go of the throttle too much when coming down, let the throttle off gently and you should come down smoothly. Just don't let it off completely as you crack your nuts.

Don't back off the throttle when you land, you'll spare yourself the bruised nuts and knackered head bearings Wink

If you are keeping it at a certain height with a certain throttle position then you need only to dip the throttle and bring it back on to the same or possibly higher position. Because the wheelie will be lower it needs more throttle to hold it up at a slower position, so should touch down gently.

The dr600 is quite because it has really soft long travel forks you can close the throrttle compeltely and it's still not ball-busting.
Had a similar moment on Ste's GS that I took to work.. forgot about the soft, but very short travel suspension... sitting a bit to far forward, 'ouch'.

Also try to sit back, this not only makes it easier to get it up, lowers the balance point, but also means you aren't quite so close to the tank Smile.

Glad to hear you're albe to get it up now though Wink Thumbs Up

Just a quick note to agree with G.
Although I am no good at the practical(yet!),I know that to get wheel down gently you dip accelerator a bit,as the front drops put the power back on,eases you down nicely. Thumbs Up

Good luck,
Stevie Very Happy

lol dean we all know you only put this thread on to try and convince us you have nuts Laughing

A guy once told me to "blip" the throttle just before you land, to slow the bikes decent, doesn't really work on a 6 tho...i tend to hit the limiter then crush my own particulars Confused

I look forward to seeing you tho mate...wheeling sat over the bars that is Thumbs Up
