Just wondering if anyone's aware whether or not both the BBC and Eurosport are planning to show this seasons MotoGP and BSB on an HD feed as they did with SBK over the weekend? Do we know if they're planning to continue with the SBK coverage in HD as well, or was Sunday's coverage just a one-off, as I've never seen it in HD before this?

The reason I'm asking, is that the picture quality was incredible compared to the usual standard of the poor Eurosport feed and the marginally better regular BBC feed. Such a spectacle deserves to be shown in crisp, sharp HD, not the fuzzy crap we're used to.

Unfortunately I think while MotoGP and SBK may receive preferential treatment on this, I doubt whether they'd afford BSB the same privilege, which would be a shame. Opinions, race fans?

Only WSBK is in HD on Eurosport with no plans for BSB to be in HD

I don't think the BBC has ever shown MotoGP in HD

Nooooo, I want to see the sweat through their visors and the ants on the kerbs!

Seriously, the difference HD makes is stunning. I'm happy just to watch the racing, but the visual excellence of a HiDef feed just adds to it. Once you''ve seen HD/Blu-Ray on a big telly, it's difficult to go back to shitty feeds. And seeing the SBK in HD makes me want MOAR!

And I want to watch BSB and SBK, so I need more than just the "terrestrial" channels.

Gotta say, when I first got HD in 2008, I was impressed with the difference but disappointed in the variety, and actually, very few programmes on HD channels were actually filmed or broadcast in true HD.

4 years later theres soooo many more HD channels and most of the programmes on there are HD filmed and HD broadcast. Just wanna see more though.

EVERYTHING needs to be in HD.

Matt Roberts just tweeted that they're working on the BBC putting the MotoGP out on HD (there's a BBC HD channel as well as a BBC1 HD, well there is on Virgin anyway), but Eurosport UK have confirmed that only World Superbikes will be broadcast in HD this season (they said the European rounds, but Phillip Island was HD), and BSB will remain in SD on Eurosport 2. It's a start, I guess. F1 also looks incredible in HD, so looking forward to the Sky coverage, as their feed is usually better than the BBC's.

BBC HD and BBC1 HD on Sky as well.

F1 last year in HD was epic, especially those "moody slow-mo's" as Martin Brundle likes to call them
