Maybe sewing a few stitches thru the fingertips of the glove to hold the liner in place??
I think this one is a case of getting what you pay for ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N

I recently bought two pairs of Richa Neon gloves - for about £15 a pair.
I guess they're not as protective as my leather Alpinestar summer gloves if I was to come off the bike, but I've used them daily for commuting thru the winter and they're still like new ....and my hands don't smell like feet ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N

The clue is in the time of year buddy. Winter. The smell is caused by bacteria. During winter, especially the recent spell of cold weather, the wind chill factor of riding a bike inhibits the growth of bacteria. The colder it is the harder it is for the bacteria to multiply, the less they multiply the less likely to smell. My gloves I wore all summer stank by the end of summer but as they are the only ones I have I wore them during winter too and they no longer stink. ____________________ illuminateTHEmind wrote: I am just more evolved than most of you guys... this allows me to pick of things quickly which would have normally taken the common man years to master

My guess is that you are buying ones that are too tighter fit.
Your gloves should allow your fingers some movement.
My winter gloves were special offer £9.99 at local dealers and are still going strong 3 years on.
Ok I do only wear them in winter. But that covers at least 5 months of the year. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

Had this problem with the RST TracktechWP gloves. The prolapsed fingers were prodded firmly back with a 5B Vic Firth drumstick.
Beat(en) into submission.
Yeah...and you thought I'd lost it. ____________________ Diabolical homemade music Bandcamp and Soundcloud

Take them back and get some new, more expensive ones.
When I first started I bought cheap stuff and its all been crap. I had to take 3 pairs of £50 quid boots back because they fell apart after a month each, then I splashed out and bought some £160 Sidi's and haven't had a problem. Yes, it is a lot of money but you can pretty much guarantee nothing is going to go wrong with them if you look after them, and in the long run will be cheaper than buying a few pairs that keep falling apart.
It was the same with the first pair of gloves that I bought. They were some £30(not exactly cheap, I know) quid winter stuff, the lining kept coming out and the gloves were just crap, took them back a couple of months later because of the lining and they were fraying and bought some Arlen Ness leather gloves (because the weather was now warmer) and had no problem. When it came to the end of the summer last year I bought some £60 quid IXS winter gloves and they are fantastic. Warm, dry (to an extent) and very good quality.
All my bike gear is now fairly expensive, and although I'm only on a part time job whilst at University, it should last me years before I need to start replacing things.
Spending hundreds on bike gear at once was horrible to do but over a few year period I am sure it will be a better financial decision, as good quality stuff may last 5 years and bad quality stuff may last just 1 year. |

I figured, sweaty hands in waterproof gloves = cess pit of hand germs
I wash my hands pretty damn regularly as I work in a health centre and everyone is pretty gross...including all that antibac alcohol soap that's all over the place here
And yet
I actually wash my hands after wearing them because they STINK afterwards
They're fairly decent gloves though i'm happy otherwise ____________________ Fzr-600 1999 |
