Upon further inspection one of the cylinders is not firing, used the good old hand on the downpipes trick, a spark plug or four is now in order so hopefully I'll be able to find somewhere tomorrow that has some in. Other than that does anyone have any other idea's if it could be anything else and it is the left hand cylinder that isn't firing so I'm guessing that this will be my problem in the end, case closed? |

Hi
A flooding carb is likely to mean that either the float height on that carb is set wrongly (possibly due to a holed carb float), or that there is some dirt stuck in the needle valve (the float operates the needle valve, closing off the fuel supply to the float bowl as the fuel level reaches the correct amount). Often this will work OK if the engine is running, especially at higher revs, but will fill the engine with petrol when parked.
Check the oil level on the bike. You will probably find it has gone up having been diluted with petrol.
All the best
