Hi,

Kawasaki ER-5, 19500 miles, metallic silver, 'R' registration. Good condition, hardly any marks on it. New braided brakes hoses. 2 new tyres. Half-fairing.

Will get 1 year MOT\6 month's Tax\3 month's warranty.

From a reputable dealer.

Wants £1500, I got him down to £1400 for cash.

What do you guys think???

Sounds good to me, will make a real easy first 'big bike', since my first big bike (and current big bike Embarassed

if you can call it big.. it goes fast nuff!) is a CB400, similar enough type of bike, although I think made to be more 'fast' for the Japanese market than the commuter style ER5..

Plus points are
- You can chuck it down the road, as you may well do, without causing much damage, mine's been over a few times Embarassed

- Totally neutral riding position means it'll be dead easy to learn to ride, and with enough power to have you grinning after riding 125s or whatever you've been on before..
- A fair bit cheaper to insure!!
- For my SF I like the 'blank canvas' (ok, bland looks... Wink

) which will mean I can make it my own by modding it!!

Only thing is, as I said, you won't have the kudos of riding in on a CBR or R6 Smile

doesn't mean you cant give them a run for their money on the twisties though..

I done my DAS on an ER5 and I thought it was a nice comfortable bike, with plenty pulling power. Very Happy

The one I was on had been down the road more than a few times but there wasn't that much to damage really. Nice bike, I liked it Thumbs Up

I was selling my ER-5 'R' reg with 6500 miles for 1500 last week and got it so it's a good price

It was a good bike to get to grips with after DAS.

i only kept it for 9 months though, as it was windy and slow for commuting on motorway
