I do like the look of the Thruxton Modern old school if that makes sense.
Anyone ridden one? What are they like?
I think it would be a tad uncomfortable after a while.

What about this? The GB 500 - lovely bike. Quite rare now and somewhat expensive, though my dad got one for just £1400!

Yeah like that.
I had a ride on a GB500 Clubman many years ago at BAT motorcycles in Kent.
Huge fun.
It only has 38bhp, and for me, laid waste to the idea that you need big power to have fun on a bike.
As you say though, rare as hens teeth, but I should have added, I'm after European, not Japanese.
I rode that Guzzi pictured above and it is one sweet bike.
This weekend I'm having a go on a Thruxton.
The Ducati Sport pictured above would be in contention if I could find one.

I've owned three of those over the years and I never thought the maggot would be a platform for a Cafe Racer.
Interesting concept, but I remember how wobbly they were.
Thanks for the other idea's.
CCM looks funky.
May look into that. |
