Hi guys thinkin of gettin rid of my sportsbike and think a would like a naked bike but still like t raw speed of a sports bike...a would say I like riding at a good fast pace at times and don't want to lose that to much as mates still ride blades and r1s and don't want to lag behind ,,,realise on the twisties a would easily keep up and probably find a would pull away from them but when it came to the next decent straight they would fly by ...so my question is with a decent fly screen what straightline speed would I get up to without pullin my arms off,,,Smile a really like t speed triple R that's comin out and feel it's one of the best nakeds about,,,cheers

It depends on a lot of factors - how much you duck down, etc.

How about just taking the fairings off your current bike?

Go test a few before you buy. If you are genuine a big dealer should be happy to let you take some out...

As for speed, on UK roads something like a Tuono or Speed Triple will be able to go faster than you can!!!

It will feel faster than a sportsbike, but it is a pretty heavy bike compared to a GSXR1000.

However, if you've got a modicum of skill you should be able to keep up with your R1 riding mates on it. What it lacks in straight line speed, it makes up for in confidence inspiring stability IMO.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
