Quick question - last time I went to Berlin, I had an absolute nightmare trying to pay for anything with a credit card due to some teutonic sense of contrariness.

I'm thinking of riding over to Berlin sometime in April, and while I'd like to think that they do let you use credit cards to buy fuel, it's the sort of thing I don't want to make assumptions on. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

Thumbs Up

No trouble using my debit car when I was in Germany for fuel, but if it's a credit rather than debit, can't comment specifically.

I used my MasterCard several times in Germany last year - no issues at all.

They sometimes ask for ID as well but usually late at night.
I used a mastercard there 2 weeks ago and all fine
