So, my bike's coming up to the end of its MOT, so first of all, can anyone recommend a decent garage in the Hinckley (Leicestershire) area?

Also, how much is each likely to cost? The bike's in pretty good condition so it should pass, but what thing's do I need to check before I take it in?

Thanks in advance for all the helpful advice Wink

Racing Lines in Derby are truly excellent, and well worth the drive (you'll probably save the fuel costs anyway!).

Your MOT is normally about £25 or so, servicing varies depending on what you have done. I'd like to think you can have an MOT and a service for less than £100.

Lights, tyres and brakes are the obvious things to check.

I use:-
RM Motorcycles (Nuneaton)
Tenlons Road Industrial Estate
Unit D
Tenlons Road
Nuneaton
Warwickshire
CV10 7HN

Tel. 02476 371155

MOT's only. £29.95 I think. Dead straight. Doesn't do friendlies, nor find extra faults to get work.

If anything needs 'fixing'; if its simple he'll tell you what to do, if its DIYable; if not he'll point you towards some-one who can fix it. Probably chap at the corner of my road; Can never remember his name. Doesn't have a unit or anything, doesn't advertise; works out of his garage from home & gets enough work by word or mouth.
