I'm part way there at the moment, the rear end part is being completed to get rid of the horrible black mud-guard and it looks much more tidy now!

The belly pan I should be able to sort out in the next couple of months. The micron can needs to go on, but check out the annoying weld on the current can and with a pipe at an angle there it's going to need some link pipe made up to fit it. Hugger.. apparently they do them in Singapore for this bike. Paint job needs work, that was something I knocked up in photoshop but I am thinking the CB1300 PB1 paintjob looks quite funky so maybe that? what do ya reckon? Oh and a fly screen too, will probably paint that too rather than have it transparent/smoked.

Smile what i'd really like to do (maybe when i'm out of uni and can afford another bike so i can keep this one off the road for longer) is to knock off the rear frame and get some custom plastics done for an underseat exhaust (plenty of room under the seat for pipes). Also to get the engine properly polished, it's been down the road a few times. I've polished the wheels which looked really nice.... for about a week when i got bored of polishing them!! So I think i'll powdercoat them black with white rims. Wud be nice to get the frame done red too, but again thats gotta wait till i can afford to have it off the road for a long time!

Will be nice to get this one properly tarted up, but there's no way thats gonna happen when i'm riding it every day! (And on a student budget Sad )

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too, was just messing with a paint job in Photoshop at the time. My thinking was it's the same relation between the Fireblade and the 'baby blade' CBR400... except the mini version of a hornet is a mosquito Razz Evil or Very Mad

Why ask silly questions when it's obviously just a Photoshop pic?

I can't count the amount of CBR4's I've seen with "FireBlade" on the side. Rolling Eyes

If I was going to nick a design off another bike to respray mine it would be this little baby:

I'd rather just have the bike though. Smile

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Same reason ppl put R4 on their FZR400 when it isnt, or R3 on their RD350 or ZX-2R on their ZXR250, because they want to. The only ppl who don't like it are those with the "Real" R1s and so on, I don't know why, I think it's a penis complex. Much like a bunch of scooby owners blowing their stacks because my Sport dare have a WRX scoop on it, even though it's essentially the same car. End of the line is, so what Very Happy

Laughing Laughing Laughing

Wonder where that one came from.

But I think saying it's an R4, or a BabyBlade, or some sort of mini-Hornet is more respectful than anything else. It's not like pretending you have a small bike that is a big bike, more that it is the smaller version of the big one, which is is anyway!! Although the CB400 is actually more of a mini version of the CB1300, it's even called the Project Big 1 like the 1300.
