Anyone got one? Happy with it? I almost bought one, today but found out you can't charge the bloody thing whilst riding unless you spend, £50 on an extra fucking mount. Which is frankly a pisstake, and kind of defeats the point of a SatNav for touring on a bike. I reckon I could probably bodge it by drilling a hole in the cradle or some other bodgery.

Also I want to know if I can bluetooth my iPhone and a headset for music, calls, and directions.

I want music to play but to be interrupted by directions and calls.

Was also looking at the Zumo 660 but realistically it seems too expensive and no better than the, Anyone in the London/Essex area got one I can try out?

Why not simply get a app for the phone and a mount for the bike and use that with a 12V cig attatchment.

I have one but it isn't anywhere near as good as a dedicated unit.

I have one and unfortunately I can't comment on the phone, other than I know you can bluetooth a phone to it, to what end though I'm not sure...

Otherwise it does what it says on the tin and does it well.

Hi,
Do what I do,
On amazon I got a waterproof satnav case that clamps to the bike handlebars, for £20 or so from memory.
I then just used my car satnav (well parents sat nav Embarassed ) and used that on the bike instead. Way cheaper, but works just fine.
As long as you're not bothered about hearing the satnav, it works a treat!

I've got one. I had the old TT rider mk one and when it deposited itself down the motorway I got the urban rider.

I haven't bothered with the on bike charger. The battery life is good enough for most of my journeys. Hoever when I next do europe, I'll be buying one.

I quite like the way tomtom have gone with this. You can buy just the satnav or satnav with scala. I didn't need one so that saved me a fair whack.

I recently looked at the Tomtom rider but decided not to bother as it will not work with the Schuberth SCR System bluetooth helmet I use. (According to Tomtom customer service who I asked last month.)

I use Garmin's Zumo 550. That comes with an MP3 player which is cool for when the iPod chucks it. Though the sound is better using earphones connected to the built in hardwire socket in the GPS mount.

Did this year year, I would prefer a better solution.

That is a bit of a faff especially if I'm camping I can't see why they would make it so difficult.

I was looking at the Zumo but it is about twice the cost of the rider and some reviews say the routing is bad on it.

Thanks all, I really think I need to try one before committing but nowhere stocks them Confused

Ta I'll keep that in mind if I know I will be out that way. Thumbs Up

Looking at the Scala Rider Q2 as well if anyone has any experience, judging by reports they can do everything I want them too, but whether they work in practice is another matter!
