YEAH!!! Two bikers nodded at a kid on a scooter! I'm so pleeeased!!!

BUT....

The second biker sorted of waved his head on me...I thought he was on meth. However, when I returned home, I noticed my straps were off Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Oops! Nevermind! Guess I'll have to wait until I earn the respect for a nod not a warning that your straps are off!

Yeah yeah...luckily no coppers actually saw me, however I'm more concerned that if I had an accident I would be toast!

We've all left our helmet undone at least once. Hence the fact I now double check as I'm moving off.

However...I await the inevitable:

It is.

I've been riding 17 years now and still very occasionally forget to 'strap up'. Normally when juggling lots of kit or being distracted when prepping.

I do always know something is wrong when I do pull away unstrapped though, in a niggly back of the mind feeling kinda way. And eventually it'll percolate through and flash a warning so I can stop and rectify the situation. Smile

Did it about a week ago. Didn't realise till I hit NSL and my neck warmer was let loose Smile

No biggie, pull over and fix it.

Nod's a nod at the end of the day.....

I don't see the need for the sarcasm. You've found the two bikers who will nod at scotter boys haha.

Undone helmet straps are a bitch - I've never been completely unfastened, but when I've forgotten to do the popper bit and it's been slapping my neck at 130mph - ouch is all I'll say haha.

Because there are around a thousand threads on the same subject, some bikers will nod, others wont, either way there's no need to start a thread about it as no one cares...

Next there will be threads on how to wipe your arse and whether you should use the three sea shells or how many sheets.

Yes it is, the popper is just there for convenience. If the D rings are done up, thats all you need... Thumbs Up

I didn't even know (or care) about the nodding thing when I started riding, was too busy learning and paying attention to the roads etc.

Now I know about it and do not back but still don't care.

I've only forgotten to fasten my helmet properly once but corrected it by the time i got to the end of my street. It should feel obvious it's not secured due to the extra tightness. Unless you've got it adjusted way too loose

Yep I've forgotten to strap up my lid, I soon realised when on a NSL and the strap was flapping around like a beached eel.
