Looks like you won't be able to trust your fellow bikers these days. Rolling Eyes This particular campaign seems to be only running in Scotland though. Bad news for me then. Sad

There was a case in Reading a while ago of an undercover r6 (I think) that was trying to get people to race of flights etc; then you found there was a marked police pan up ahead that did you for whatever speed the undercover bike got you at.

That's just crap. Police are just robbing wankers out for your money and to make people into Public Nusiances Wink All for fuck all, so they can be "king" and have the "power" over us public and thieve all our money for nothing serious, when all along they should be fighting real crime.

Pisses me off that every time we go out, we have to keep looking over our shoulders for police, and that when we do get caught it's for silly things that aren't even dangerous.

It's a joke.

To be fair not all coppers are bad, as I found out yesterday. Smile

Although them getting unmarked bikes to race you is really low. Thumbs Down

It's nearly as bad as the police SP-1 Honda that was at Lord Derby last year Shocked

At least they can only do 80 or so miles before having to refill so we might stand a chance at getting away Wink Laughing

Thames Valley in Reading don't have any unmarked bikes, all marked/uniform Pans.

The surveillance team however do use unmarked bikes but they belong to the Serious Crime Squad, RCS and the like although they are ridden by Traffic qualified riders, they only deal with crime matters.

Not too sure if it's West Mids or Mercia but around the Coleshill area, responsible for Bassetts Pole, etc, they have a few unmarked bikes. I've seen an SP1, a couple of VFRs, and a Blackbird.

I'm sure there's probably more/different models around now as these have been around for the last couple of years.

Want to know the best bit?

I have a friend who works for the Civil Service who is a biker and managed a sneaky look at some of the budgeting. The money from road tax and most fines goes straight into the Social Security Budget. Nice to know the money is well spent improving the state of the British Roads huh?

I thought the trick was to throw them off a cliff and see if they could fly?

Just what I heard, abit from a fairly reliable source I believe.

I suppose if it did happen it might be just the marked pan that was taking the readings and the unmarked bike a local copper that was lending a hand as such.

As a point of interest... what is the legal position on doing things like that; for example if this was the case and it was being done as part of an operation with a kitted up unmakred bike; is it legally aloud to break the speed limit to see how fast the other bike will go?

I saw an article related to this as well ProXimaCore. Though it was also asking for bikers to basically phone some line they had set up so you can shop people who ride their bikes dangerously or illegally.

Yeah ok Middle Finger Eh? Middle Finger
