hello all, well hopefully doing my car test in a few weeks/month
and well being 22 the car insurence is still stupidly high.

I have 5 year ncb end of the this month with my bike, so my question is can you take the ncb off a bike insurence and transfer it to a car insurence ? i heard the once before but never know if true or not

Examle my bike atm 212 a year to insure tpft
with back to no ncb it goes up to 450 so not too bad,

A 1.6 civic is around 1800 to insure
with 5 years comes down to 580

So would rarther have the ncb on the bike, is this posible ?

Cheers

I've heard someone on this forum mention that they were able to do it, but you have to have continuous experience with driving over that period of time, as a named-driver or on company insurance, or something like that. You would have to speak with individual companies, I guess.

Give direct line a call. They did it for me. Shit insurance company if you have to claim but it saved me well over a grand and this was 4 years ago! I think hastings do it too. I did create/and or post in a thread about this a few years ago on here i will try to dig it up as a few of us had found a handful of companies willing to do so.

Much harder to do it the other way around so im told!

Ecar will do it too - we did it last summer with my girlfriend's bike NCB for the same reason.
