I know the most popular answer is going to be Pass your test and get a bigger bike, so we'll forego those before we start Smile

I have just got a 2009 Dr125SM anwhilst it is much better than the Rieju 50 I have been pootling about on, I can't help notice an artificially induced rev limit in each gear.

I know there is no rev counter on this bike, but i was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere which could remap the ECU in order to get this running to the redline, rather than a forced strangle.

Cheers

Mike

Probably not...

It is a carb, so you'd probably have some form of CDI which retards the ignition.

Without visual confirmation from a rev counter, how do you know you're not already hitting the red line whenever the limiter cuts in?

You certainly might be able to increase the point where the limiter cuts in, but it could also lead to a certain amount of unwanted mechanical modification.

It is Injected, not carb, so that OK.

As for the RPM, it feels like it is topping out about 7-8K.

I know this is not going to be as much of a screamer as the 50, but still feels as though it has more to give but being held back

Fair, looks like they changed it to FI that year.

It should do about 65.
