There's loads of good offers on tools and a dirt cheap compressor (decent make) with good specs. Going on offer on sunday (13th).

Check out the website.

Thought I'd post it up here as it might help someone out.

Speaking of Air compressors, anyone know where I can get my Paintball gun air tank refilled?

It needs a lot of pressure, the same kind as scoober diving. I would go to the paintball place, but they only did carbon dioxide!

Not sure, where you're looking - the one I can see is a Power Craft, which is FAR from a decent make. Laughing

Any gun shop that supplies PCP rifles, Get yourself a 300 bar 3lt scuba tank with filling adapter. You can pick them up from £80 on ebay. Make sure they are in test though, otherwise it will cost you a lot more. If the tank is surface use only the test lasts 5 years, 2 years I think if your diving with it. So check that out aswell. You do not want 232 bar as that will not last and is a waste of time. When I was into paint balling I once had my tank refilled with CO2, worked fine and I was using a carbon tank. Some guns will take it some wont, mine was a Smart Parts Ion with the american chip (fully auto setting, three round burst etc) if anything I am pretty sure I got more shots from the CO2 but that could just be my memory... You will never get a compressor to fill to those pressures for less that £1.5! if not more... Or get a Pump, heres a link, I dont know how to do the clicky thing... https://www.airgunbuyer.com/Showproducts.asp?cat=Charging%20Eqpmt.&SubCat=pumps
Quick and very very easy, you can accomplish 300 bar pressures with one of them. Just be very very carefull to A. Not over fill your tank, and B. use the wrong fittings. Any decent paint ball site will sell the connectors, 1/4" bsp thread if I remember correctly is what is on the end of the pump hose.

I had one for three years and it never let me down once. It was a really good piece of kit for the home mechanic.

Then it got stolen. Sad

It is more down to the tank... There are 2 different tanks..1where you have a k valve which has is designed to hold around 200bar (3000 psi) and Din valve which holds around 300bar...

Depends what country your in...

edit It is also what the tank is made out of.. alli or steel... Ever country has different rules on when a tank should have a hydrostastic test.. Aus it is evry 2 years... most of the world it is every 5 years.. Don't know about UK laws

I have had this problem for years, I found the only way to do it was to hire a bottle!
I hired a hugh 5 ft bottle full of gas (carbon dioxide) was about £130 for the year. they come full to the brim and thats way more than you will be able to use in a year!

There was 5 of us using the same bottle!

Go to a different paintball place!
It's about the only place you can get them filled, give them a call and find out beforehand, personally i've never bothered as i've only got the one air tank and it's a lot of effort for a few pods of ball firing Rolling Eyes

No idea otherwise, pretty sure licenses and shit is involved when storing big tanks of compressed gas Idea

Oh right, the last post was a year ago, not two days in the future. Piss.

Helps my annoying newbie cred eh

Noticed you didn't edit your post either, so one can only assume that you noted it was about a year ago, as to find the paintball posts you would have had to scroll down, the notice how old the post was, then post a reply, and add that you noticed it was a year old.

No need for thread ressurection Rolling Eyes

To be fair to him, the forum seems a bit random as to whether it marks posts as edited or not.
But that's all I'll give him Wink

Think it only marks them as edited if someone has replied between the message being posted and edited.

All the best

I do sometimes sit with a post half written for an hour or so while i'm doing crap at work though, this forum is a great timesink between dealing with crap Thumbs Up

I HAVE EDITED THIS POST AS A TEST. WOO.
Nope, didn't say edited by Rolling Eyes

This thread was linked in another thread quoting the thread from march, and I did genuinely think it was from this month, without giving respect to what the date was but whatever. That paintball guy's probably not around anymore anyway then.

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 13 years, 329 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
