Has never been run? I think the guys at the Honda factory might disagree.

As said in the advert. Its the 50th anniversary edition version of the bike. Honda made a whole range of bikes for the anniversary. Fireblade, CB400, Goldwing, VFR, etc.

Ultimately though its still a Firestorm. As much as I love my bike would I spend 10 grand for one with a one (well 50) off custom paint job, upgraded suspension and cans?

Nope. I would buy an SP2 instead.

It's a new bike at a new bike price - what's so weird about that?

When you account for inflation, their price is pretty much spot-on (for a stock VTR). I'm not saying it's worth that amount, especially not to me, but it's not used so hasn't taken the first own hit of depreciation - it's still a brand new bike.

Wrong. Its a 13 year old bike thats never been ridden made with budget technology as the Firestorm was aimed at the budget biker market. Its a no thrills sports touring bike with a very lose emphasis on sports and touring. Dress it up as much as you want and it's only ever going to be a 13 year old unused bike for £10K

Lets look at what else you can get for that price, or less, shall we.

An R6, GSXR750, Suzuki B King, Kwak ZX6R, CBR600R.

And thats just the super sports (apart from the B King which is just massive). All brand new this years models, all with current technology.

Add to the fact that the above bike will need its Reg/Rec sorted out, will need the CCT's sorted out as a precaution. It just isnt worth that kind of money.

Yes. Honda made a wave of 50th anniversary editions, 50 of each make. I cant find the full list of their makes but as I said in my earlier post there was quite a few.

I think it was 50 per model in Europe. I think they chose American models and European models. Released 50 of each.

And the 3K change would get me this if I really wanted a Storm to go with it too.
