Ok, a friend of mine has a 2009 GS 1200 Adventure. He wants to change the spark plugs but he cant work out how to remove the plastic covers. The cover is flush to the surface and he cant work out how to remove them. I havent seen it yet so I havent been able to have a go but your suggestions are appreciated.
The cover looks like this:

BMW have a tool to do this I think. To pull the coil and plug/s out as a unit.
Why change the plugs???
I had two R1200GS and I never had to change plugs, BMW did it for me.
FYI There are loads of threads on plug change and power commanders for these bikes. But standard plugs and settings seem to be as good as you can get.
Look at www.ukgser.com
There are enough bullshitters on there to fill a BMW factory warehouse from the floor to the ceiling.
But tonza Info for GS bikes. ____________________ W-ireless A-rtificial L-ifeform L-imited to O-bservation P-eacekeeping and E-fficient R-epair |
