I'm currently unable to get onto BCF (uk or com), www.b3ta.com and www.suprnova.org which is bloody annoying. Happens on multiple computers and on Windows 2k and XP so I know it's not my machine. Access to it from work is fine too (currently VPN'd in and logged on to a server to access BCF!) so it must be my connection.
Anyone in the Croydon area having weird issues like this?

I've logged it with Virgin so am currently awaiting their response. Been totally trouble free and though they warned me to only download a gig a day they've not said anything since.
On that note I've noticed the small print on the BT website - they limit downloads to a gig...per month! Shocked

Ask them to supply you with a proxy server address.

This will probably fix your problem.

Virgin support are a weird bunch - maybe they should communicate more! All sorted now Very Happy

Try using a specific server then Adam.

In Internet Explorer go to Tools at the top and click.
Go down to Internet Options and click.

You'll see some tabs across the top - go to the Connection one and click.

Click on our connection and then click on Settings, just to the right of it.

You'll see where it says 'Proxy Server'.
Click on the box so a tick appears.

Now enter this in the box: cache1-mant.server.ntli.net and enter the Port to be used as 8080.

Click on OK at the bottom and then OK again.

Hopefully that will solve it.

Best wishes,

Dave

What about www.b3ta.com and www.bikechatforums.com? They are working fine
from my place of work (IT tech support)
