Trouble is all posts in this thread are pointless and meaningless due to the word (Indicated).

I assume that the OP wanted facts and verified data instead of opinions. This means a run on a 100% flat runway with calibrated measuring equipment.

The 73.5mph for the YZF125R and 71mph for the CBR 125 are the only figures I've seen in proper magazine tests in such conditions.

I could dig out a load of test figures for much older 125's but that would be even more pointless and irrelevant in 2017.

Just thought I'd update my post. My old RS125 has just done 47,500 miles and had a new piston and fresh power valve blade put in and is now screaming up to 98mph!!!. The funny thing is that I read a lot about people saying that the bottom end bearings need changing between 15,000 and 25,000 miles depending on usage but when I had the piston changed at 46,800 miles I asked the mechanic to check for play on the con rod and he said there was absolutely no play whatsoever.
I think this bike is magic!!!

A tiny bit of con rod play is difficult to feel, and when it develops it will happen very quickly. It will go from none at all to wrecked in a couple of miles easily. Big ends don't seem to bad for failing though, and mains mainly seem to suffer when the bike isn't ridden for a while.

All the best

Katy

You don't want the fastest 125 on the market before you have your test, a bike is more than a thing to thrash around! You need to respect it and get responsibility from it!

Doesn't the Veyron SS make some 1200BHP? a little bit more than your Cb125...
