Hmmm. Ideas for a second bike.
How about a FireBlade? Or a 'Busa? Or maybe a CBR125 or a Harley Dyna Super Glide or a KTM 640 Duke or a Norton Commando or even Triumph Rocket 3?

Yeah you dont need anything sexy, or mega powerful for commuting. Unless you do alot of high speed motorway miles then you dont need a fairing either. If you have a big fast muscle bike (V-max) for weekends and fun, then i would go for a nice clean, but cheap 500cc twin like the ER5,GS500 etc. They are probably the cheapest bikes to run on a daily basis, and 50bhp is plenty for commuting. If you dont ride too far or on fast open roads, then a smaller and possibly cheaper to run single is also an option, Honda Dominators, XT600's can be picked up cheaply enough for a reasonable one. A DR350 or XT350 might also suffice, or if it were me it would be possibly a TDR250, and thats as being as practical as i can lol! |
