Hey, just a quick question to pose to you lot. How much better will the acceleration be on my nsr once I de-restrict it?

Will its pull of a lot better because at the moment it's a bit on the sluggish side as far as acceleration is concerned. Confused

Very Happy thanks!

Hi

It will pull a LOT better, but only really at higher revs. Where the standard bike will be going to sleep at around 7000~8000, the derestricted bike will be waking up.

All the best

Keith

this a pick from my french site (it works)
1) use any italian exhaust pipe such as jollymoto, arrow etc....
2) at 8000 revs the exhaust valve is supposed to be full open , this is not the case ; you can gain 1 mm by putting aluminium paper in the pulley's groove it will do (and stay)
3) dismantle the cylender
a) rub down any bump and sharp parts with a mini grinder
b) clean well base , top cylender and head
c) clean piston head and polish
4) put 3 seals (instead of one) at the base
5) re-assemble cylender with red past (loctite) and without gasket
quote : this will make the intake at better high
6) put a sparkplug ngk10exi or ev (around $6)
result : you will gain at lest 1000 revs and 15-20 mph
this will cost you lest than £25 and takes 3-5 hours
if you change you piston , mind to slower for 300 miles
