I thought that it was about time I replaced my trusty Ixil Jacket, so I visited a few local bike shops to find a replacement.

One thing I found disappointing, was the length of the sleeves on the larger sizes. I'm 6'2" tall with a 46" to 48" chest, but I found that on most of the jackets that size, I was struggling to get my arms down the sleeves, because they were all too narrow or too short!

A Jacket from the Weisse range came closest - but it was over £300 and didn't look like very good value for money.

I tried Hein Gericke, RST, Spada, Weisse and several other brands before giving up - then I remembered that I had similar problems buying protective trousers a couple of years ago, and had ended up buying some off ebay...

I was very impressed by the quality and value of these, so decided to see if the seller was still around, and see if I could find myself the 'perfect' jacket.

I was pleased to see that they were, and had used my 'Testamant' (sic) on their sales pages - and that they had this Jacket in my size, so I decided to take a chance and ordered one...

...and it arrived the next day - even though I only paid for standard delivery!

I can honestly say that the quality is indeed impressive. It's a perfect fit - even with the winter thermal lining removed. The removable armour is good quality and is in just the right place to fit my shoulders and elbows. There are plenty of inside and outside pockets, the materials used are top quality, and the attention to detail on the finishing is better than I found on the most expensive jackets in the shops.

The jacket feels very comfortable when riding, with no tight spots, no draughts, and no restrictions to movement.

I also like the genuine 3M 'Scotchlite' hi-viz panels, the 'Reissa' waterproof membrane, the 1200 Abrasive Cordura panels, the zipped vents at the back of the armpits, and the genuine 'YK' zips.

There is even an elasticated tab with a zip to attach to the back of the Trousers that I already have, so in all, I am sure that I could not have found a better quality jacket anywhere else.

I'm not going to say how much I paid for it, because you won't believe me - but you can check out the range of clothing Here.

I have no connection to the seller, other than as a very satisfied customer Smile

Heh, I'd strongly considered that seller and jacket, but went RST because of the usual eBay tat concerns. Thanks for the belated review. Very Happy

I liked the RST Jackets that I saw on the rack at Streetbike, Birmingham - but the sleeves were all the same length from Small to 4XL! The cuffs came to half way between my elbows and wrists.

This jacket is better made from better quality materials than anything I saw in the shops.

I hope nobody is put off by the prices - I was at first, but this is just a rare example of excellent value for money - something we're not used to in the UK.
