Apologies if this has been well covered in previous threads, search isn't working all that well for me at moment.

A friend of mine has asked for advice regarding an accident involving his dad who was recently involved in a crash. The family are looking to persue damages through the courts and wondered if I knew of anyone specialising in bike claims/or had a particularly good experience with a particular firm. Hence why i'm delving into the wealth of knowledge here.

Long story short regarding the accident;

Mate's dad was filtering alongside stationary traffic along a 60mph single carriageway. Chap queing in the traffic pulls a swift U turn without looking and clips the back of the bike as its passing, this threw the rider into an oncoming car. Damages to the bike were enought to write it off. Rider sustained multiple fractures to both legs, severe damage to left ankle which has required skin grafting and torn ligaments in thumb. Doctors have indicated that it's going to be quite a lengthy process before he's up and walking around, and two weeks on he's still having surgery to fix various issues.

Has anyone used, heard of, or just had a decent result with a particular legal firm. I know there are a myriad of 'bike specific' lawyers out there but would be nice to get some opinions from real folk.

Cheers

This is the area of law I work and specialise in.

If you are happy to PM me a contact number, I will be more than happy to call you without obligation and have a chat.

I have helped a few people off this site, and I will be happy to do so again.

Can you help me off this site please? I get shaky and irritable when I try to go cold turkey! Wink

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
