I've been looking into it recently as the trailie bug has bitten me hard (again) so I'm kind of umming and ahhing about getting one as I can add one to my insurance policy for an admin fee pretty much these days (one good thing about having bike insurance instead of car insurance for years!).
Seems like crossers will always sell for over £500 in any state of repair on ebay, I'm not surprised your CR125 went so quick. It looks like old DT125's that have been ragged to hell and back are still fetching £500 as field bikes with no logbooks!
Seems like anything with KTM written on it will always go for over £1k and you can add a few hundred on top of that if it has supermoto wheels too. 1990's trailies like XR's, KLR's and DR's etc seem to go for around £600-£900, usually in pretty used condition. There are a few around that are clean but with pretty high mileage but then if it's just been used as a road bike anyway it's going to be in pretty good order for an off road bike.
