A mate of mine used to have a blue and white one a few years back, can't remember what year now though but I'm fairly sure it was one of the later models.
I didn't ride it, didn't have a full license at the time, but I remember comments about the blistering performance and a stonking engine.
They were supposed to have fairly unbustable engines but as Keith said they were supposed to be a real handful around the twisties.
There's a link here to MCN with a bit more info.

I have had one for a short while. It handles ok but can be a handful in the wet and at low speeds. |

A friend of mine had a GSX1100F, the one with the 'lecky screen.
I did a few miles on the back, and wasn't really expecting much TBH.
How wrong I was, it pulled like a bloody train, and Frank, the guy who owned it, had no problems lobbing the thing around either.
My brother looked at buying it, and was very pleasantly surprised with the insurance. It was an old bike, but seemed to age very well. I would have one if I thought I had the self control to ride it properly. ____________________ "THOSE WHO RISK NOTHING, DO NOTHING, ACHIEVE NOTHING, BECOME NOTHING." |
