Alight, so im going to get slated but looking for little 4t for me to play on and the Mrs to learn on.

I know.. China bikes are made from cheese, vibrate to shit and murder cute small fluffy animals for fun but I have seen the AJS JSM125 and got to say it looks ok, I did a bit of research and it actually looks like a pretty good bike.

The bike itself uses the same well balanced DOHC 125 4T engine as the Rieju RS125 (Rieju just slap a 22 carb and better Air intake system) and the same again as the Yam YZF125(Although the Yam uses injection) the frame is from the Hispania Duna (pretty good little Spanish bike)

It has front and rear disk breaks, USD forks "Decent" rear shock, ali swing arm - the plastics are made from decent flex plastic

It looks like a decent bike with a couple of small mods (Exhaust, carb and intake) and looks pretty good too.

Without shooting me in the face what you think? comes with 12 month warranty (better then typical China warranty on AJS website) and dealers all over the place, the other bikes AJS make also look pretty good.

Are china bikes catching up?

Thats not a Yamaha R125 engine... Neutral

Looks pretty nice, if someone started doing these with a 250 engine with a decent power output i'd be interested

Is it really the same engine as the Yamaha, or a cheap copy using inferiour materials.

A lot of chinese bikes have a good spec on paper - 'upside forks', funky disc brakes etc - but in reality are poorly made with poor components so are at a CG level of handling despite looking better to those who don't know better.

Erm, for a low end commuter thats air cooled, i'd expect 10-12. Few 4T bikes really exceed that Thumbs Up

They are overweight and underpowered. Sure, if you want one to learn on and you can pick it up for less than £400 second hand just to trash around, then do it. Otherwise I'd steer clear.
