Sukida ?

Anyone ever heard of this brand of motorcycle? It is Chinese shit, but what I was wondering was, is it similar to any decent bike manufacturer out there.

I remember watching a recent episode of Top Gear and they showed you a range of Chinese cars which were a basic rip off of their British counterparts so this kinda stuff must happen with motorcycles as well.

Furthermore, if Sukida (or any other chinese bike) was so similar, would it be possible to change the engine to a Honda or Suzuki engine for example when the inevitable happens?

Everything else will dissolve before the engine gives out.

It isn't unheard of for the originals and the chinese copies to share parts though.

Yeah, they're a pretty generic Chinese brand. However, it's the chassis that tends to go, long before the engine does, as a rule.
The electrics are usually suspect, too.
If anything, it's probably the engine that's the only bit that I'd be happy to part with money for. They're so under-stressed that there's not really much that can happen to them.
