Moto GP '13 game.

Considering going to buy this game, but just thought I'd see if anyone has it yet and whether it is good or shit?

Online reviews make it seem worth a go.

I don't really play games anymore but if its any good ill happily waste some nights playing it.

Apparently the 2013 game is completely redesigned and the handling side of things is a lot more realistic.

I prefer Forza over GT.

had a quick go of the demo, found that the bikes where extremely slow at tipping in..... went for SBK generations instead, much better! plus was just 4 quid on amazon

Downloaded for PC, using XBOX360 controller. Do not like it.

Really enjoyed 08, 13 is very... samey. Different bikes, diff riders, all seems to be the same though.

You would expect different characteristics but nope. You can change your style outside of the standard modes, elbow up etc but its just not that involving.

You aren't far from here, by all means come grab a copy of it and try it out... but I'm glad I tried before I didn't buy Won't play it as it was quite shit.

Played the demo on PS3. It seemed like a typical bike game i.e. nothing like actually riding a bike at all, the crashes were terrible and the amount of times Marquez looked like he was off over the bars then suddenly found his ass back on the saddle was just a bit weird, wouldn't buy it, would spend money on petrol for real bike

I love it! Milestone-developed, so it's the same guys that have done the SBK series of games.

XBOX 360 controls work well with me - I just use the same settings that I use on Forza with the exception that the handbrake is rear brake.

Try riding with zero aids and full realism and it makes Moto 3 & 2 a load of fun! Impossible to ride a motogp bike though! It plays to the abilities of you as a gamer, and I have found it satisfying and infuriating at the same time.

Moreover, your custom rider now has licensed kit! Alpinestars and X-lite so that's a massive tick in the box for me!

I give it 2 thumbs up if you're a sim fan! I wish they had physical damage modelling however.

If its anything like the old GP / SBK games it feels more like you're driving a car thats had a motorcycle painted onto it than 'biking'.

But maybe its improved

Best and only motorcycle game i've ever enjoyed on xbox is Trials and the sequal [much better] Trials Evolution off the arcade games.

Okay they're not exactly simulation, but the revvy sounds and ridiculous jumps make up for it

Yeah the trials games are really good fun, but also incredibly frustrating at times. Spent ages getting the unyielding achievement to unlock the monkey bike.

I've got it and I think it's the best attempt to date by a developer for sure, there's is so much difference through all the classes. The bikes are slow to tip in yeah but it's about moving your weight about on the bike, kinda realistic tbh, I do like how if u give it quite a bit of gas u can get the rear end out too!

It's not perfect but it ain't awful that's for sure!!
