Well the time has eventually turned up... I've officially joined the motorcycling fraternity! I'm sure you've all seen a blue Honda CBR125R before but I don't care, it can't hurt to see another and see somebody jovial about his first bike.

I've named it Bloodwyn (don't ask) and I love it.

And for those of you who were so eager to point out that I'd soon get bored of a 125 and it wouldn't be fast enough... well, three days into owning one and I see what you mean. Once you get over 55mph, it really starts struggling to build speed. And any change in the wind almost definitely results in the need to change a gear. But I'm not bothered. I'm fully loving it. It's a great little machine for getting used to the feel of a bike, getting used to the feel of leaning into corners and all the other bits and pieces one needs to do to ride.

My only regret is that it took me till 24 years old to get one...

Well the CBR125R comes highly recommended while you're riding on CBT! Cheap too

Can I ask why you didn't spell it Blodwyn? Wink

Anyway, it looks ace, I just hope I've got my congratulations in before it gets/got nicked.

I'd suggest putting it beside the post and put the chain around the frame or headstock if there's room, at the moment it'd just need the front wheel and mudguard off to have it.

Motion sensor alarm on it, right? The local scrotes will come sniffing around sooner or later.

Will definitely follow that advice! I had hoped I could get it round the back, but unfortunately there are 3 steep steps to tackle and it can't be done... pain.

But yes, the headstock seems a better idea.

And I dunno what Blodwyn is. Bloodwyn is the name I decided I was going to give my first child (no idea why) and then later I decided I'm not going to have kids because I'm way too selfish. So the bike took the name.

MEANWHILE... today I rode home from work only to discover somebody had blue tacked a tiny easter chick to the bike (which amazingly stayed on!)
I found it pretty hilarious.

The chick was put on there in the carpark at work, not at home.

This neighbourhood's not bad at all actually. But I am gonna build a ramp for the steps anyway

Could use something like that, but a few years older. I weigh a ton, so won't do more than 53 mph. Motorway legal and license saved. Oh, not to mention the mpg Smile

Keep safe mate, would be a shame if it gets nicked. Hope you will upgrade to a full license and offer this one at a good price Rolling Eyes

I'd love it to go to a good rider when I'm done with it, so I'll certainly put it out on here when I upgrade!

Live nowhere near a pub route so I'm safe from meddling, drunken hands.

And bloody hell you're right... somebody seems to have stolen the numbers off my plate!!! Those whiley ne'er-do-wells!!!

See, these words should not be in the same sentence lol

Sorry about the numberplate; but it was a matter of when rather than if Confused
