Hey, am i required to have l plates on my bike while doing mod 1, the thing is i don't have the L plate on the front, because it came off, although i do have the rear one, i was thinking whether i should go purchase the ones that are on clip ons or can i stick one just on the front mudguard, does it matter where they are and how they are holding?

Your bike needs to be legal. You need L plates. Ergo, make sure that you have both of your L plates.

You should have them both on anyway. I think someone said you can get levied with 3 points for each missing L plate.

Edit: For location they must be clearly visible and show the entire full white border and red L. If you have to cut it to fit it, it's not legal. You can get away with it, though. Mine was like this for both of my tests: https://www.bikechatforums.com/download.php?id=80489
