My local tester is ok with pipes but I think the carbon Micron taking the mickey a bit. So I made myself a nice baffle for the end-can that looks like it's meant to be there...

It just slips in the end of the tailpipe and secures with a stainless M6 bolt.

You should do a video showing the before and after effects. I'm quite keen to see your bike, as I'm sure most are.

This is for Bonny's old CBR. I'll do a before and after noise test when I get hold of the noise meter from work.

when i had an sv, it had an open micron pipe that was stupidly loud. as peopole who went on ride outs with me would agree. when i took it for an mot, the garage had to machine a basic silencer that basically reduced the size of the exhaust opening to about 1cm.
the current place i use for mot's doesnt care about exhausts. took it there the other day for example, when it came to the exhaust which has "not for road use" stamped on it, he said it was good he can't read.
the place is fucking brilliant. took just over 15 minutes, as long as your bike isn't dangerous they wont fail it.

Or you can just buy a cheap BD killer on eBay for 10 quid.

Sounds odd that they would do that (machine a basic silencer) as they shouldn't pass it anyway if it hasn't got the stamp on it.
