Possible double post but...
I've had my bike for a couple of weeks now, mainly using it for the run to and from the station - the reason I bought it in the first place.
But today I had a day off and just went for a ride. No destination, no plan, no time limit - I just filled up the tank and headed off.
What a revelation!
I did just over 120 miles through the towns and countryside of Bucks. I was out for nearly 4 hours and only came back to pick my boy up from school. It was fantastic and I'm still on a high now.
Some observations:
- I will be getting a big bike sooner rather than later
- White van man is still alive and kicking
- L plates are like a red rag to a bull for some people
- I don't like the wind
- I do like bendy roads
- I need to finish running my bike in
- Bugs hurt when your visor is open
What a brilliant day |

Welcome to the darkside.
Glad you had a good day!
Edit: I didn't mean to hit the funny rating, my bad ____________________ Willson - "If you go out on that CBR600 in the winter, you're going to do more miles on your side than on your wheels."

Great story fella.
I bloke I work with told me he was out on his old GSXR750 one afternoon and took a big old bumblebee full on in the visor, he reckoned it was like a gun going off! |
