Is it possible to get an upgraded alternator for one of these bikes? It's annoying me that the battery keeps running so low that the indicators fail.

Anyone know if there is any such product out there?

I've just been thinking, when these bikes came out of the factory, was the stator sufficient to keep the battery charged or have they always had the same problem?

How new is the battery?

It's rare for them to be fitted with parts that aren't upto the job from factory..

You can convert it to 12v with later parts.

Sounds from this like there's one of two options:

Put up with it as is.

Convert it and be happy.

So the third option of, the stator could be mashed should not be considered then?
