Will be up there on monday (going for a little 300 mile ride out) are there any roads we should be going on from southwards, twisty roads or any of particuarly niftiness?

Sort of near, while your there try and get yourself round olivers mount, and also head over to the Helmsley road, its a great riding road. Where you coming from?

from derby/nottsish wont be cheating with any of that motorway lark Very Happy
Its an odd question to be asking but maps don't say much about how good the road is...

Nah M-Ways suck.

When over at scarborough ask someone for directions to olivers mount race course, its a public roads which is also a race track, you may see 3 cars on it all day.

scarborough to Helmsley is an ok road, but Helmsley to Stoksley is absolutely fantastic, it WILL make you come back just to ride that road.

Why don't do a Lakes excursion? I do 200+ miles round the lakes weekly.

Great stuff its all on the route now, hopefully the weather will be good tomorrow (its pretty nasty now!) Should be good, mate has just got a new bike (zxr400) so were going to try it out, wont be seeing much of him then Very Happy
