Evoline Series 3 mini review

Well worn my Evoline S3 for the first time today over a number of riding styles including urban, country and motorway. This is on a Diavel with no screen.

The visibility is great, and I'm talking with the chin bar down here. This is excellent for urban use as you're not going to miss anything. With the chin bar up I guess it's just like a jet style helmet and fine below 30mph but a little windy much above this speed.

Out in the countryside much over 40mph and you start to notice the noise - my standpoint is coming from a Shoei XR1100 with the whisper kit fitted. I actually pulled over and fitted ear plugs to allow me to concentrate on the other aspects of the helmet (I don't normally need these on the Shoei below 50mph).

From 60mph up there was a constant blowing in my eyes to the extent that I had tears running down my face. This for me is the main obstacle as it made me blink constantly and was a distraction.

Filling up with petrol I flipped the chin bar rather than removing the helmet and the cashier didn't seem to mind. I expect that seeing your face makes it less intimidating.

Maybe the wind getting past the visor seal is just mine - I'll see if I can adjust it.
