Wasn't going to make too huge a thing of it. But it's exciting now. Hell it's positively christmas.
Passed my test about three weeks ago as some of you may remember. But have been looking at something bigger since about October last year. Before my taxi incident. That we don't mention.
Had it narrowed down fairly quickly based on my taste preferences. Didn't want to go silly but sat on everything I could find. Even stuff that I knew would just make me giggle.
Was given opportunity to test a few things as well, taking on board general opinions regarding faired vs. naked.
So. Yesterday this:

And on the very first night I learned that attempting to push 211kg of metal BACKWARDS up a camber is painful.
Next time I'll park it somewhere flat.

Ahh the Divi. They have always been good bikes. Only difference now is they are beautiful to look at now.

OK, that does look really lush, maybe I should think about one for when my license upgr- Jesus Wept, £6,400?
Oh, no, sorry, that's not right. Add on £110 for first registration and tax, so let's call it a neat £6500. 
I'd heard that Yamaha had been getting pricey, but two grand more than the current offer price on an SV650S? Is it really that much more of a bike?

Not a 2012  It's a 2011 model. Still new but as the last one the dealer knocked it down
Besides, cheaper as the SV650's are, I didn't like them at all. Was plastered against the tank unable to move. God forbid I actually had to go around a corner o.O Would have landed in a tree for sure.

That is a lovely bike mate, you will enjoy that and yes, heavy bikes are a pain to push up even the smallest camber/hill.
Also, I know exactly where that photo is taken. Was there with the ex-girlfriend once. Near Pilning. .

Fair enough. Heck, I've seen dealers still trying to shift 0-mile 2010 model bikes, there's plenty of choice at the moment.

Good to know, I'm not really fan of leany-forwards, and it does look the business now. I'll have a look at Divvys then, in 2 days, 8 hours, 13 minutes and 25 seconds, not that I'm counting.

Not a 2012 It's a 2011 model. Still new but as the last one the dealer knocked it down

I agree wholeheartedly.
Never liked the SV650, it's a very different bike, with a sportsbike "lean" and clip on bars, without the power that goes with it. I wanted fully faired, so for me the options were XJ6 Diversion F, ER-6f, or GSX650F. I had a 2011 ER-6f before that I paid 6k for new, and it wasn't half the bike my XJ6 is And, the XJ6 was £900 less in the end!!
