Hi iv just brought a 1994 cb400sf its been sat for aprox 6 months had it running a few weeks ago now it just trys to fire but will not start? Any ideas please thanks

At very least drain the tank and float bowls on the carbs. Ideally strip and clean the carbs. If you can get it started at all drain the tank, fill it with fresh fuel and take it for a ride to get the fresh fuel through the system. It might well have other issues, but until you get it running on fresh fuel there's no way of knowing.

yeah i sparks and its getting fuel but just being a right bitch to get going. iv put some fresh fuel in her cleaned out the tank and carbs but still just trys to fire and back fires alot

Have you put new plugs in ? I guess its cdi ignition ? Sounds like plenty of fue geting there but not a great / constant spark .fuels building up then sparks hence back fire .I would replace plugs and make sure gaps are good .also check rest of igntion system caps leads ,coils ,pick ups .

iv put new plugs in her shes sparking on all four spot on had it running for a few seconds but only by putting feul down the plug holes something tells me it maybe a carb issue

had it all checked out today the engine is all spot on got it running with a set of carbs from a cb1 only 2 of mine are getting fuel

yeah thats the next thing on the list is to strip and clean the carbs but the bike has been played with alot its not standard by far everything has been changed and the motor has been played with
