hi guys,

i am looking to buy a paddock stand to use with my 2007 kwak z750. after doing some searching i am seeing a lot of "bobbins". this will probably be a proper stupid question, but what are these and do i need them in order to use a paddock stand??

thanks for your advice!

Bobbins are small round cotton-reel shaped fittings that you put on your swing-arm to hook the paddock stand onto. Many bikes have little threaded bosses on the arm specifically for fitting them.

Bobbing look like cotton reels (funnily enough they're also called cotton reels) and screw in to the swing arm for use with hook type paddock stand. If you get hook type stand then you will need bobbins.

The other type of stand is called a cup type stand and has square cups that hook under the swing arm to lift the bike. If you get this type you won't need bobbins.
