Got my CBT booked today for the 25th Sunday at 8:50am.. looking forward to it but not the early rise Confused

It'll be my first taste of a bike for about 2 and a half years Mr. Green

How long does it last generally?.. last time i done it i missed the morning so only done the private car park bit. Didn't have my driving license as the DVLA were taking their time so went another day to do the OTR part for an hour. Overall very easy apart from the fact the figure of 8 was difficult(ish) on my AR125 Laughing

Anyway, thought i'd share! i can't wait to get a bike and do my test!

My CBT took all day. I'd never been on a bike and found it easy to be honest, it's like riding a bicycle Very Happy Generally you spend the morning in the carpark then you do a two hour run in the afternoon to see if you actually have any road sense.

Best of luck!

My cbt lasted from 8.30 til 3.30, and it rained, and I wore jeans. I'm definitely a noggin!

Not too hard at all, just introduction to bike at the start. Then basic riding, then slow riding (cones), the road craft, then lunch and on to the road, if the instructor is happy with you. 2 hours on the road (getting soaked in my case) and then back to get a piece of paper, then home!

Embarassed I had to go back for a second day to complete my CBT
I had never ridden a bike before and made the mistake of not taking it local in case anyone knew me. So I had a long journey before I even started, so found it very tiring but was determined to get it right so went back for about 4 hours the next day and really enjoyed it and cant wait to get a bike.

My main problem was the gears on the carpark I only used 2 so when on the road and a voice in my ear said you are in 5th aren't you, I thought OMG where are the other 3 kept, are they under the seat or in a bag on the back of the bike. Razz

Also being a late starter (as in age)did not help most of my friends just think I am having a "Senior Moment" but I call it getting my life back after 30 plus wasted years.

Have fun and happy safe riding.

The rubbish thing is it looks like i may not be able to get a bike straight away. I'll be dieing to get one to go out and practice! Mad

Depending on where you are, it should stay dry.

No worries if you get wet though, you'll just be, erm.. wet!

Have fun, and listen because it is a really useful day to learn what bad habits not to get.

Absolutely brilliant weather today for my CBT. I got my certificate! Very Happy

One person didn't turn up and they didn't let the other two on the road! Rolling Eyes

Seen lots of bikes on the way back home though, good to see it's picking up! Mr. Green
