Hi been looking on ebay for cdi's for the nsr(01). How can you tell whether its a derestricted one or an import cdi.

Is this a derestricted nsr?

Send the seller a email, might know the origin of the bike and whether it was restricted.

its for the power valve its not the cdi you find under the seat incase your not aware

Yes its right at the back of the bike behind the bit where you would put your manuel and stuff. The box looks more rectangle shaped I think not sure.

sorry very confused now. so is that the thing that makes my bike faster? and if so where is it? powervalve cdi? cdi? very confused.

Could someone spell it out 2 me very slowly and obviousley.. Embarassed Smile

the part on ebay is the power valve servo this is what controls the power valve (opening and shuting it). The cdi basically controls the current flow to everything else on the bike (charging system, live feed to ht coil) and that sort of thing. If you have a restricted cdi the part on ebay will not make any difference.
