Long shot i know, but the Ducati forums arent really giving any info up.
Does anyone know the length (from centre of spindle hole to very top of adjusters) of Ducati 851/888 forks and also non-adjustable SS forks?

Thanks,
Nick Thumbs Up

Try the Ducati Sporting club, or Moto Rapido have an 851 in, I think.

Cheers guys.
Orac, lideally i need the length of the fork while its unsprung, but i appreciate this might be a pain in the ass.
I basically need to find a replacement pair of forks for a '98 Monster, i have sourced a couple of pairs of 851/888 forks but i need to know if they will fit i.e if they are too long they wont fit with the standard handlebars.
Cheers.
Thumbs Up

if that something like the m900, then i can tell you for free that they are different. he said he was going to get a set of 851 with preload adjuster for the front of his. he measured the forks up back and fround them to be different.

however he said that f he remeber hi will give them a quick measure but cant make any promises

Cheers mate, i have managed to find out they are indeed longer, so they wont fit with the standard handlebars.

I dont fancy clip ons or bar risers, so its back to looking for some Monster forks.
Thanks mate,
Nick
