How do I work out the correct chain tension on my Yamaha fazer 600?

Same as anything else. About an inch up and down in the middle of the chain. A little difference won't matter, and if it's wrong you'll feel it in the gearchange.

You have the same year as mine - put on the side stand and between 25mm and 45mm play.

That's from memory as I'm at work.

Thank you. Is the play between the chain lifted up and then pulled down?
