I'd be grateful if anyone could offer advice about insurance for a non resident. I want to buy and use a bike on occasional visits back to the UK, keeping it stored securely in a relative's garage. Devitt say they won't do insurance for non residents. I live in the middle east but I'm able to get back fairly regularly to make it worth while.

If anyone has managed a way round this problem Id be grateful for any ideas.

I have the same problem: I have a bike but no one seems to be interested in insuring a non-resident with an Australian driving license who wants to travel the UK/Europe.
Anyone have any ideas? Any recommendations?

Good idea. This might be the way to go. Still I would prefer to own/ride the bike myself, but I might give it to a friend and use it that way.
