What Bike Mags do you buy and why?

I used to subscribe to PB before it was Custom Bike/Tits, now buy Bike because it's the most like PB used to be.

Well I personally think Ride is one of the best just for the amount of BCF peeps getting in there. Laughing

To be honest though I don't buy regularly, and just pick one up when I fancy a read and then it goes on whats on the front.

Though if I'm after not much bikes and more flesh it has to be PB. Rolling Eyes Laughing

Normally get Fast Bike, and then either Performance Bike or Superbike as they're normally pretty much identical.

Will sometimes get MCN if there is something in it of interest, otherwise I just read it if anyone else has a copy Smile.

Normally buy ride, bike, fast bikes, superbike, pb, streetfighters and mcn.

BTW do you know you've got superbike twice in the poll.

One of those days, it was meant to be Fast Bike and I was meant to put TWO. Can't edit a Poll!

Performance Bikes every time! Very Happy I've read it every month since I was 15 (comming up to 3 years ago) and there has only been one issue that I didn't enjoy reading and that was when Ronnie died Sad (that man was a legend). I like to read MCN too if my old man has got a copy.

I don't get any of them with any regularity. Sometimes buy one if I'm bored, in which case it's whichever looks most interesting that month.

Same goes for music and film mags - used to get loads, now I don't really bother.

I can't remember the last time I bought a magazine that was bike related. The last time I bought bike related material was MCN, that was because of the for sale section in it.

The only magazine I have ever bought was Ride I think it was because of the front cover having a nice bike on it.

Hi

Used to buy pretty much all of them years ago. I still buy MCN every week, but the rest I tend to buy when I am bored or see something I fancy reading (so by putting them in a plastic bag the magazine companies are more likely to loose a sale to me as I cannot check what is inside).

PB used to be very good, then they seemed to have a session of taking great pride in writing off as many test bikes as they could, which just annoyed me.

Bike isn't bad, but seems to often land up in a plastic bag so I don't see what is in it, so don't buy it as often.

I quite like Ride as it tends to have rather more realistic tests, and often covers 2nd hand bikes (rather than just having an endless cycle of latest 600 road test followed by latest 1000 road test).

All the best

Keith

Normally I would only buy a bike mag every now and then, but I have been working in Newcastle for the last 10 months and staying in a crappy B&B in Whitley Bay. boredom has seen me buy just about every bike mag written in the last 10 months. Confused

Now I'm home ( Woo hoo! ) I'll probably still buy MCN every week but just the odd mag, more than likely Bike

Don't really buy any unless there is an article I want to read in it. I do however read MCN every week because my colleagues haven't cottoned on to the fact they buy it each wednesday and I read it first! Very Happy

For a long trip Bike is the one though, most content.

I used to buy Fast bikes a few years ago, but like many bike mags it has now gone really Crap. I used to buy MCN every week, and im buying maybe every 2-3weeks now. I usually buy RIDE out of habbit really, and as for the rest, i just buy on occasion when im either bored, or like the look of the mag. Any Mags that feature plenty of 2-strokes usually tempt me, as with this months TWO magazine. I had to get it just for the Picture of an immaculate Yamaha TDR250, but only because it provided with inspiration for my own Supermoto project!

I tend to buy either Bike or RiDE. I don't usually bother with both every month as they cover a lot of the same stuff but occasionally I will do. Performance Bikes is also okay and there always seems to be a fair bit to read (its not just pictures of naked women and pretty bikes).
Is it just me or has RiDE recently slimmed down a bit and there isn't as much to read (although its always good to pick up and try to spot BCFers in there).

I usually get Bike and RiDE. Bike is better for features, but I buy RiDE for the usable and useful reviews etc.

If I'm really bored and don't have any mags with me I might occasionally buy MCN or PB. I used to really like GreyBike but they went bust.

I have to say that Bike is definitely the one I look forward to every month. If only for Dan Walsh, he's funny as f**k! Smile

What? Nobody has bought "Motorcycle Voyager"?

T.C. is a columnist in there I think. (I haven't actually bought it but I picked it up in the airport and saw him in it.)

I usually get RiDE or Bike. Only occasionally and depending on what articles they have in them. I did buy PB recently for the stickers though! Rolling Eyes

I read Ride mainly but if I go for a crap at my in-laws there is always a copy of Back Street Hero's knocking around which is pretty amusing!

I used to buy Performance Bikes but it's gone crap in the last couple years, what happened to features like the 'Do a Runner' guide Confused Now I tend to buy Fast Bikes, and RiDE occasionally when there's something interesting in it. BTW I bought the 1st issue of Motorcycle Voyager, it had some excellent photography and some interesting articles but seemed to be more aimed at the 'more-mature' biker.
