Hi All

The stock shock in the bandit is getting on a bit and isn't really what I want from a shock. What would you reccomend to replace it with? I believe early GSXR 750 shocks fit easily? Anything better out there? (Preferably that doesn't require any mods to make it fit)

Any info greatly recieved.

Thanks

Benson

From memory.

GSXR750 K model shocks bolt in ( K4 seems to ring a bell ).

If not a ZX6/7/9/12 shock can be made to fit anything Laughing

About as cheap as a brand new shock gets.

I have ridden a BMW K100 with one fitted and it was fine.

I'd go for a Nitron over Hagon, they tailor it to you for no extra cost.

Thanks all.
Paddy if you could that'd be great. Thumbs Up

That nitron shock looks & sounds ace but is way to expensive unfortunately. Sad

If a ZX9R shock does fit, I have a C model one, springs a bit rusty but it's functional and has damping, done 14k miles.

Free. Smile

I do beleive the newer gixer shocks fit, a friend of mine has a '95 Bandit and is looking to upgrade as his is positively.... bollocks.
Like said, Nitron and Hagon do replacement shocks, and wemoto do them, i'd go there personally.
Alternatively, Ohlins also do replacement shocks, but you'll have a mighty old laugh when it gets to the prices Laughing

After spending the afternoon researching, I think the best combo of price/decency is going to be a 03-04 CBR600RR shock. £40 odd...

Garth: Thanks very much chap, I'll have a look see at the length of them & if I have to mod anything!

I've seen a Mk1 with an R6 shock, may be worth looking into also, though I don't know if there was any mods necessary.

Hope you're enjoying her Thumbs Up

R6 is my 2nd choice, quite easy to fit apparently.
Definitely enjoying the bike though Smile
