I've got the loom off my bike and I'm retaping it, trying to sort a couple of electrical niggles on the way.... anyway I've noticed that there are a few bits where 3 wires are attached to one etc... also some wires look like they have been cut and reattached for no reason.

All the tape looks original... a little tatty and lifting off in quite a lot of places... but would they attach wires with some insulating tape at the factory or do they have a better method of doing it. Also I've had to replace a couple of spades here and there, if I've wrapped a couple of layers of tape round them.. will that be sufficiently water tight?
