If the bike is quite new, have you kept to the servicing? changed the oil after 500 miles and then 3k or whatever?

I am the second owner and the first owner seemed to think it had its oil changed at its inital service @ 1000km. Maybe I should just do another change to see if it helps.

I havn't tyet tried your suggestion about pushing it, will try to do it tomorrow.

I don't know whether this is relevant but when I tried to paddle the bike out of the parking space when I left it in first gear (ignition on, engine off) the back wheel locked (or felt like it) so I couldn't move it. Not sure if this is normal or not.

That's normal. If you left it in gear the wheel won't turn because it's connected to the engine.

*BUMP*

The revving definitely stops the clutch from sticking but should I be getting this fixed while it's still under warranty? How can they fix this?

Might an oil change stop the sticking?

Try changing the oil. Check if the gearbox oil is seperate and whether this is the part that lubes the cluctch.

I've had this on a few bikes. One of which I discovered in the receipt folder the last oil change had car sae30 oil used.

The rear wheel is connected to engine via the gear box. If the bike is in gear, and you try to move it, the rear wheel will lock up. (or the engine will turn over which is not a good idea with the ignition on) To remedy this, pull the clutch in or change to neutral.

When did you last change the engine oil? and how many miles have you done since buying the bike a year ago?

Armstrongs develop this problem a lot from cold starts, pulling in the clutch lever in neutral a few times generally frees the plates off so when you put it in first it doesn't grab.

The bike was supposed to have had its oil changed at 600 miles (so the previous owner indicated). The bike has now done 1500 miles. I guess it is possible the oil change never really got done.

Looking at some of the old oil I took out which has been sitting in a jar - it is very dark (almost jet black) with some white sediment at the bottom with bits in.

I'm just going to do an oil change and see whether that helps.

Hi guys, first time posting on here but I bought myself a a hyosung gt125r however I’ve had quite a few issues with it.. I thought I finally had her running well when all of a sudden she starts to bog as soon as I put Her into gear.. she idles fine and then put it into first and the regs go all over the place.. often she will just cut out completely (and I don’t have a side stand switch) it happens when I’m driving, she’ll be driving fine and then she will cut out and start back up again on it’s own this will happen at any speed and any rpm but usually more so in the lower rpms this bike has become the Bain of my life and so I really need you guys to help me!!!!! Thanks Harvey

It might be better to start a new thread explaining all the symptoms, year, make and model of the bike, some video of it idling and or displaying the symptoms mentioned etc.
